What counts as a video?

One video is one script. Paste it once and run it through any or all of the four tools: article, FAQ page, social posts, and show notes. That still counts as a single video. Uploading a caption file instead of pasting works the same way. The allowance is per month.

Which paid plan should I pick?

Match it to your publishing cadence. Starter covers up to 5 videos a month, which suits a weekly posting schedule with room to spare. Pro covers 15, adds generation history, and costs half as much per video, so it wins if you publish several times a week, batch old videos, or run more than one channel.

What happens when I hit my monthly limit?

Generation pauses until your next month begins. Nothing you have made is deleted, and on Pro your generation history stays available. If you hit the free limit, creating a free account adds one more video per month, Starter raises it to 5, and Pro raises it to 15. If you regularly need more than 15, tell us. We want to hear it.

Is there a limit on regenerations?

Rerunning a script through more tools or regenerating an output never uses up a video. There is a monthly fair-use ceiling on total generations to keep the free tier sustainable, set high enough that normal use, including retries, does not come near it. Paid plans have far more headroom.

Question 5

Can I cancel or switch plans anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cancel or switch whenever you like. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and after that you move to the free tier rather than losing access to CiteScript entirely. There is no cancellation fee and no retention hoop to jump through.

Do unused videos roll over?

No. The allowance resets each month whether you used one video or all of them. If you publish in bursts, batching helps: run several scripts in the same month and Pro covers up to 15. Yearly billing drops the price further on both paid plans.

Question 7

Who handles payment?

Accepted Answer

Checkout and billing run through Polar. Your card details are entered with Polar and stored there, not on CiteScript's servers, and receipts come from Polar too. The free tier asks for no payment details at all: no card to start, and no card to keep using it month after month.

Is there a trial?

The free tier is the trial. Every month you get one video without an account and one more with a free account, with the same tools and the same output quality as the paid plans. Judge the product on a real script of yours. If the output earns a place in your workflow, upgrade.
